Dr. Chandra Williams joined Nicolitz Eye Consultants (NEC) in 2008 after completing a residency in primary eye care at The Malcolm Randall Veterans Administration Medical Center in Gainesville, FL. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama, School of Optometry in Birmingham, AL where she was a Dean’s List student during her entire 4 year doctoral program. Before joining NEC, she also did postgraduate training and studies with the Central Alabama Health Center System, Advantage Vision Centers in Charlotte, NC and the Simon-Williamson Clinic in Birmingham.
Chandra has presented numerous papers and lectures for organizations throughout the southeast and she published a definitive paper in Review of Optometry Journal on the diagnosis of iris lesions. Over the past 6 years she has also done extensive community and professional volunteering in eye care, for her church and for the needy. Chandra is the kind of young professional that has in-depth training, a working knowledge of major vision and eye care technologies and a genuine feeling for personalized care of her patients.
